How to uninstall the app

Please use the Uninstall & Clean up page inside Easy Lockdown to remove the app. It disables your locks and removes our code from your themes before uninstalling. Uninstalling directly from Shopify while locks are enabled or our code is still in your theme may make parts of your website inaccessible!

How to uninstall Easy Lockdown

Open Easy Lockdown from your Shopify admin and go to the Uninstall & Clean up page.
Work through each step on the page in order:
- Before you uninstall – review what will happen.
- Disable all lockdowns – turns off all of your active locks.
- Clean store themes – removes Easy Lockdown code from your store's themes.
- Remove sitemap hiding – restores any pages that were hidden from your sitemap.
- Uninstall app – before clicking, check your storefront to make sure everything looks right (previously locked products and collections should be visible again). Then click Uninstall Easy Lockdown.
That's it — the app is removed and your themes are cleaned up.

If a step fails or you get stuck

If any step shows an error (for example, a theme can't be cleaned), please contact support rather than uninstalling from Shopify — we'll make sure everything is removed properly.

Already uninstalled without cleaning up?

If you removed the app from Shopify directly and are seeing issues on your store or receiving emails about leftover code, reinstall Easy Lockdown (you won't be charged — there's a 7-day free trial) and run the Uninstall & Clean up page, or contact our support team and we'll help.

Uninstalling from Shopify admin (only if support has advised it)

Go to your store settings:

Then go to "Apps and sales channels", find the app, and click the three dots next to it:

Click "Uninstall" in red:
